DR. PATSAVOS TO DELIVER HOMILY FOR THE FEAST OF THE THREE GREAT HIERARCHS

On Thursday, February 3, 2022, Dr. Lewis Patsavos, Professor of Canon Law emeritus at Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology, will deliver a homily to commemorate the Feast of the Three Great Hierarchs in the Holy Cross Chapel. Dr. Patsavos was invited to speak by unanimous vote of the Holy Cross faculty, in order to recognize publicly his receipt of a doctorate honoris causa from the Pontifical Oriental Institute in Rome on December 3, 2021. He will deliver his homily at the conclusion of the Vespers service on February 3, which begins at 5pm. The homily was initially scheduled to take place on the feast itself, but was postponed when Covid protocols required a delay in the start of classes at Holy Cross. The service and the homily can be viewed online at http://www.youtube.com/HCHCMedia

The Feast of the Three Great Hierarchs will still be celebrated on the HCHC campus this weekend, with Vespers beginning at 5pm on January 29 and the Divine Liturgy at 10am on January 30. A homily will be delivered by Fr. George Parsenios, Dean of Holy Cross, following the Vespers service on January 29, in honor of the feast.
